As part of the SEAD 3 Essential Elements, Explicit Instruction is used to accomplish the following:
- Establish social-emotional learning competencies and common language.
- Scaffolded, developmentally-appropriate explicit instruction being taught, modeled, practiced, and reinforced over time.
